Superior 8HP to GTR kit
Upgrade your Skyline GTR with the ultimate drivetrain package: a complete GTR chassis kit, paired with an HPR-prepped 8HP transmission of your choice. With precision machining and essential external components—like the billet bellhousing—pre-installed, installation is straightforward: simply bolt on your transfer case and install the transmission as a single unit.
At the heart of the kit is HPR’s billet bellhousing and flexplate—the crown jewel of the Superior Kit—ingeniously merging the 8HP centerplate into a singular unit.
Developed in-house at HPR, utilizing cutting-edge metrology-grade 3D scanners and Geomagic Design X software, the Superior Kit sets a new standard in transmission upgrades. The components ensure a premium feel and an unmatched driving experience for Skyline GTR enthusiasts.

NOTE:

Transmissions are sourced from BMW vehicles with the N57 engine. Each unit is thoroughly inspected and backed by a 90-day warranty.

R34 GTR transfer case is not compatible with this kit.

R32/R33 GTR front propshaft requires the included spacer kit for proper fitment.

R34 users can retain the stock propshaft (rear propshaft must still be shortened for R32/R33, or a new one-piece can be purchased).
Note on Rear planetary gear:
The rear planetary gear needs to be removed from the transmission and be sent in to us for modification. We reccommend using a transmission specialist for the work.
Remove the clutch pack and teflon rings on the output shaft, and make sure there is no oil residue. (do not degrease it due to potential rust problems)
Make sure you pack it well. (Max box size is 40x40x30cm/10kg)
You will recieve a modified planetary gear with the correct splines to suit your Nissan GTR transfer (exchange basis).
The modification is done in house at HPR.
Turnaround time can be up to 3 weeks if not in stock.
Note on Transfer Case Oil Pump Gear Size:
Our oil pump covers are supplied to suit the standard 5.5 mm thickness gear. Some early 1989–1990 GTR models were fitted with a 7 mm oil pump drive. If you own an early model, we recommend checking the thickness of your gear before placing an order.
If you confirm your gear size with us before your order ships, we can supply the correct cover at no extra cost. If you’ve already purchased a kit with a 5.5 mm cover but require the 7 mm version, we can provide it separately at cost price.
